The Resignation of Roberto Gonzales.

In another of a long line of distinguished acts performed in the highest standard of doing that which is in the best interest of the United States of America, Roberto Gonzales has stepped down as the United States Attorney General to put an end to the unending rancor, over the dismissal of 8 United States Attorneys, which threatened to paralyze the political processes of this country. Once again, members of a Republican administration have taken the moral high ground, through self-sacrifice, for the common good.

By comparison, during the last Democratic administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the Attorney General at that time, Janet Reno, traveled from one fiasco to another, including the firing of ALL 93 United States Attorneys and the bungling of the Siege at Waco, either one of which should have prompted her to step down as the United States Attorney General. However, it did not and she persisted in her position as the USAG, regardless of who got hurt or the harm it would eventually do to the country.

Such is the philosophical difference between the conservative and liberal factions within this country. The conservatives will fall on their swords to do what is best for the country to put an end to the constant whining of the Beltway Liberals, however, on the other hand, the liberals will make it a point to stomp their feet and hold their breath, like spoiled little children, to get their way, at any cost, regardless of the harm that comes to the United States as a result.

This is but another example of the hypocritical double standard of the Democratic party. It is clearly a matter of high standards of conduct versus no standards at all.
