Democrats Siding With Terrorists - Again?

Recently, Congressional Republicans introduced an amendment, known as the "John Doe Amendment", to a piece of Homeland Security legislation. This amendment would have immunized citizens who, in good faith, report suspicious activity to police or law enforcement. This, after a lawsuit was filed against passengers on a US Airways flight who reported the suspicious behavior of a group of Muslim Imams (clerics).

While I do not assert that these Imams were terrorists, the Democratic opposition to the "John Doe Amendment" supports the actions of terrorists by effectively silencing whistle blowers who would report suspicious activities.

The failure of the addition of this amendment sends a chilling message to the traveling public, "If you report suspicious activity on your flight, you may be sued."

Even though such an amendment would seem like a "no-brainer" and should have passed unanimously, it fell three votes short of the 60 votes required for it's passage. All 39 of the nay votes, which killed the passage of this amendment, came from Democrats save one, which came from Bernie Sanders who alleges to be an independent. The voting record of the senators regarding this amendment can be found by CLICKING HERE.

In their continuing arrogance, Senate Democrats need not worry about such mundane matters of who is on the plane with them, they know very well who is on the plane with them because they fly private jets, not commercial aircraft such as all of the rest of us "little people" must fly. They never have to make the decision between reporting suspicious activity and financial ruin that "we the people" are now being forced to make.

After all, if the peasants have no bread, then let them eat cake.

Islam, The Official Religion of NYC?

This was mailed, via USPS, on Saturday, August 11, 2007 and has yet to receive a response.

Subject: Information regarding the commission of a religious hate crime within your jurisdiction and precinct.

Please be advised that, on or about Saturday, March 31st 2007, the on-line edition of the New York Daily News reported the construction of an “anatomically-correct”, naked, 6' statue of Jesus that was cast, entirely out of chocolate, at the Ranieri Sculpture Casting Company located at 27-01 47th Ave., L.I.C., NY 11101. Additionally as stated in the article, the “artist” who commissioned this statue’s construction, and was depicted in the on-line photographs, within the above cited article, as being present on the premises during its construction, was an individual by the name of Cosimo Cavallero.

It was, further, reported that various spokespersons for the Christian and non-Christian communities alike expressed outrage at the defilement and desecration of the basic symbol and icon of Christianity, Jesus Christ himself.

The view that the above actions by Mr. Cavallero and Ranieri Sculpture Casting Company have committed and have conspired to commit a religious hate crime is consistent with the NYPD’s view that the desecration of religious symbols and icons constitute grounds for arrest and the filing of hate crime charges, such as the arrest of Stanislav Shmulevich of Brooklyn for flushing a Quran down a toilet at the Pace University campus in New York City.

It is, further, reported in this article that Mr. Cavallero confessed to a similar hate crime he committed in 2005.

Being patriotic Americans who are Peace Officers sworn to uphold the Constitution, it is the NYPD’s duty to ensure equal treatment for the perpetrators of equivalent crimes through the equal protection of all religious artifacts, icons and symbols from desecration. The desecration of Christian artifacts, icons and symbols must be treated as seriously as the desecration of Islamic artifacts, icons and symbols. To violate the Fourteenth Amendment by providing one religion with protections not afforded to all others is the first step toward the establishment of an official State religion, a violation of the First Amendment.

Since the Statute of Limitations has yet to run on either the instant hate crime or the hate crime Mr. Cavallero admits to having committed in 2005, I would anticipate the arrest of Cosimo Cavallero as well as participating staff of the Ranieri Sculpture Casting Company in very short order.

Sincerely

Joseph Bradley

Open Letter To Vermont State Senator Peter Shumlin

The following letter was sent by email and published in the Caledonian-Record on
Historically, you have acted in the role of a secular progressive, championing such causes as transgender rights and the upgrading of Vermont's Civil Union law to be equal in status to marriage. However recently, while you were sleeping, a heterosexual couple in Derby Line were arrested for the crime of bigamy.

You have, seemingly, picked up the sword for the "social justice" lobby, however, has this transpired with a caveat?

Typically, your alternative lifestyle crusades have not extended beyond the homosexual and transgendered communities. Since the bigamist and polygamist community is an alternate lifestyle which, by definition, bases itself in heterosexuality, your failure to initiate and/or support legislation to decriminalize and mainstream these alternative lifestyles is a glaring example of the tarnish to be found in your armor of social justice. You have not turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to the cries of persecution by the homosexual and transgendered community, then why are you ignoring those same cries when coming from the bigamist/polygamist communities.

This certainly raises some fundamental questions regarding you and your secular progressive ideologues and the apparent hypocrisy you practice as you purport to represent the good citizens of Vermont, the majority of which are heterosexual.

1. Do you not read the newspaper and can you not see the persecution that is occurring in the heterosexual community?

2. Are you and your secular progressive pals heterophobic bigots who have no intentions of supporting social justice issues in the heterosexual community?

3. Are you and your secular progressive pals merely hypocrites, utilizing your positions as elected representatives to pursue personal agendas?

Once again, the elitist, secular progressive democrats have painted themselves into a very interesting corner. Perhaps you can explain your way out?

I look forward to a response.

The Resignation of Roberto Gonzales.

In another of a long line of distinguished acts performed in the highest standard of doing that which is in the best interest of the United States of America, Roberto Gonzales has stepped down as the United States Attorney General to put an end to the unending rancor, over the dismissal of 8 United States Attorneys, which threatened to paralyze the political processes of this country. Once again, members of a Republican administration have taken the moral high ground, through self-sacrifice, for the common good.

By comparison, during the last Democratic administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the Attorney General at that time, Janet Reno, traveled from one fiasco to another, including the firing of ALL 93 United States Attorneys and the bungling of the Siege at Waco, either one of which should have prompted her to step down as the United States Attorney General. However, it did not and she persisted in her position as the USAG, regardless of who got hurt or the harm it would eventually do to the country.

Such is the philosophical difference between the conservative and liberal factions within this country. The conservatives will fall on their swords to do what is best for the country to put an end to the constant whining of the Beltway Liberals, however, on the other hand, the liberals will make it a point to stomp their feet and hold their breath, like spoiled little children, to get their way, at any cost, regardless of the harm that comes to the United States as a result.

This is but another example of the hypocritical double standard of the Democratic party. It is clearly a matter of high standards of conduct versus no standards at all.
